F1960 – the PEX pipe is expanded and uses a ring made out of PEX to complete the connection. The fittings are available in both lead free brass and poly (PPSU). This method is only recommended for use on PEX-a, PEX-c, PE-RT and some PEX-b tubing.

F2080 – the PEX pipe is expanded but this time but this time are the fitting is inserted a brass or poly ring is pulled over the connection using a tool. This is said to be the most secure PEX connection type. The fittings are available in both lead free brass and poly (PPSU). This method is only recommended for use on PEX-a or PEX-c tubing.
